We loved the fantastic sea view from our condo, which made for a perfect and relaxing holiday. The location was also ideal, as it was within walking distance to a small beach, the harbor, restaurants, and shops. Furthermore, the hotel facilities, including the pool and grills, were awesome. Lastly, the location of the hotel itself was great, allowing easy access to other spots on the island and walking distance to boat excursions at the marina.
Everything was spot on.

Very good location to explore the island.
Very awful beding and dirty bedlinen and towels (the bath towels soposed to be white, where a kind of brown, yellow dirty thing). This is not a vacation resort but an old condo.

I couldn't believe my luck when I arrived at Island Sands Resort. As soon as I stepped into my beautifully decorated condo, I knew I was in for a treat. The understated elegance combined with a warm and cozy feel made me instantly feel at home. The ocean view from the lanai was absolutely breathtaking, especially in the mornings with a cup of coffee in hand. The beachfront location was perfect for morning walks and snorkeling right in front of the condo. Everything I needed was provided, from the fully equipped kitchen to the laundry facilities. The small pool and lounge area with grills were an added bonus. The convenience of being within walking distance to Maalaea Bay Harbor, where I could find restaurants, shops, and even boat tours, was a major highlight. Despite staying in other resorts in the past, I have now fallen in love with Island Sands Resort and Maalaea as a whole. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and stress-free vacation.

The flowers at the garten and the view to the sea.
The Cockroches and bugs in the toilets. The Gardeners which were cutting the Gras every 2 days, morning at 8:15 am, but guests have to be quite till 9:00am. The houskeeper painting the outside door. The reseptionlady who even didnt show the way to our room. And she gave no reaction about bugs and cockroches which I killed and left in the bath. The cleaning money wasnt mentioned when we booked.

This place was amazing! The unit we stayed in was absolutely beautiful and well-decorated. The view from the master bedroom was breathtaking, and waking up to that every morning was a dream. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and even had a subzero refrigerator. The owners really paid attention to detail, providing beach chairs, umbrella, and a cooler for our use. The location was also great, close to the airport and various excursions. We also appreciated the suggestions and contacts for restaurants and events provided by the concierge. it was a perfect stay.
Although our unit was beautiful, the bed and pillows were really uncomfortable. It made it difficult to get a good night's sleep, which was a bit disappointing.

My recent stay at Island Sands in Maalaea was fantastic. I spent a week there, exploring the beautiful beaches and enjoying the ocean view from my room. Although my room didn't face East or West, I could easily catch the breathtaking sunrise and sunset nearby. The pool and grills were a great addition to the property, offering a relaxing and convenient experience. The location of the resort was perfect, allowing me to easily visit other spots on Maui, walk to the marina for boat excursions, and enjoy daily beach walks. The updated kitchen and bathroom, as well as the comfortable beds, made my stay even more enjoyable.
I would recommend this hotel.

The location of this resort is superb, with a great little beach right behind the building and access to a stunning white sand beach just a short walk away. The resort is also conveniently situated near a variety of restaurants and shops. The condo units are well-stocked and beautifully decorated, making guests feel right at home. The rooms offer breathtaking views, with some even providing a view of whales and turtles. The resort also offers a pool, free Wi-Fi, and complimentary coffee and pastries on Friday mornings.
Some guests have reported occasional issues with ants in certain units.

The location of the hotel is ideal, offering easy access to various attractions and activities. Guests can enjoy a peaceful and uncrowded beach just behind the building, perfect for fishing or simply relaxing. The units are well-equipped with full kitchens, allowing guests to cook their own meals and save some money. The views from the lanai are breathtaking, especially during sunset. Additionally, the hotel provides a washer/dryer in the rooms, making it convenient for guests to do laundry during their stay.
The check-in process can be frustrating for guests, especially on weekends, as the office is closed and there is no clear information provided about self-check-in procedures.

The location of the hotel was convenient, being centrally located on the island. It was a short drive to various popular areas such as Kihei, Kahului, and Wailea. Additionally, the hotel had a stunning oceanfront view and a peaceful atmosphere.
The lack of staff availability and communication was frustrating, especially with regards to obtaining the door entry code.

We were delighted with the incredible ocean views from our room and enjoyed the refreshing pool, which was a nice change from the usually icy ones. It was convenient to have great restaurants within walking distance, and the updates to the unit, especially the kitchen and bathrooms, were impressive. Plus, the location was perfect for exploring other parts of Maui, with easy access to beaches and boat excursions at the nearby marina. a comfortable and well-stocked stay.
The hotel breakfast menu could use some improvement, perhaps by adding more variety or healthier options.
